Please find a draft policy on the setting of professional standards. The document stems from the workshop held at our offices on 19 May 2012.

As agreed at the workshop it has been decided by the Council of Heritage Western Cape that as a first step a policy rather than a regulation should be put in place and that it should be a fairly simple process that simply gives guidance to committees of the organisation concerning the basis on which they may require that particular professional standard is applied in a given situation.

This document (click here) has been approved by the Council of HWC for circulation for comment. In this regard provide to me any comment you may have to by no later than 15 April 2013. Comments should be sent to andrew.hall@westerncape.gov.za
