About
Alejandro Echeverri is an internationally acclaimed architect and planner from Medellín, Colombia. He is the founder and Director of URBAM, the Center for Urban and Environmental Studies at EAFIT University. His experience combines architectural, urban, environmental projects and planning. His work has earned him many prizes, including the 10th Veronica Rudge Green Prize in Urban Design from Harvard. He led the conceptualisation and implementation of Social Urbanism project in Medellín. The works program included integral projects that connect some of Medellín’s poorest and most isolated neighbourhoods to the rest of the city.
