Dezeen’s architecture project of the year is awarded to Lina Ghotmeh, who designed a 13-storey apartment building for the harbour area of Beirut, her place of birth. Stone Garden “portrays architecture’s capacity to act as a healing tool and active player in building resilience at times of crisis” and is, according to the judges, an example of poetic architecture.
