Description
A rectangular werf comprising a single-storey Cape Revival-style farm house, agri-industrial sheds and farm workers' housing; the werf is enclosed on the road edge by a dense line of gum trees, which makes visibility poor. However, the farm house has clear Cape Revival elements, including two Revivalist front gables to either side of a columned central stoep, supported on Doric columns, with small-paned timber windows (possibly since replaced).

Statement of Significance
A rectangular farm werf with seemingly authentic agricultural buildings. Although altered, the
homestead retains some interesting Cape Dutch Revivalist detailing, and is representative of the use
of this architectural style in more modest early 20th century farm houses in the valley. The site has
landmark, scenic and contextual significance, and some architectural interest.
Landscape Significance
The tall rows of gum trees that encircle the rectangular space of the werf are of some age and have
high spatial significance.
