H-shaped house with six gables, with good joinery but replaced roof material and stoep that over sanitises the whole. Two historic barn structures define the southern boundary of the rectangular werf, while the werf wall encircles the rest of the complex.

Statement of Significance

This is a good example of a rectangular werf, and has historic significance. The over-sanitisation of the buildings through change and restoration has reduced the sense of age and authenticity, and the landscaping of the werf detracts.

Landscape Significance

Some very mature trees in the werf, which is arranged as an ornamental garden rather than an open yard.
