Statement of Significance
This structure is a good example of a late Cape Dutch Revival style building. It has architectural
interest, and because it "holds the corner" it has contextual significance. The site has social
significance through its use as a rehabilitation centre. It has religious associations through its use and
management by the Salvation Army.
Landscape Significance
There is a lawned forecourt expanse, with some mature trees around the edges of the site. A row of
mature gums defines the edge of the site to the east.
