History
This complex is the remnants of a village development c1860. The erven were surveyed in 1859 and the municipality financed the piping of water from Jonkershoek through the sale of the plots. Renewal of the complex in 1971-73 was by the Department of Community Development (information from NMC plaque). (was this an area of removals under the Group Areas Act?)
