Linear werf, facing northwards towards the river. Wonderful sense of place with fields, landscaping, low walls and buildings reinforcing the linear pattern of settlement. Fine homestead building, dovecot. The werf faces northwards across the river, with fine views of the rural landscape on the opposite bank, and the Helderberg beyond.

Statement of Significance
A fine and well-defined farm werf. This werf is another good example of the linear type seen in the
Stellenbosch kloof area, and therefore adds further context to the development and evolution of
that type. The site has historical, architectural, contextual, scenic and associational significance.
Landscape Significance
Historic lines of oak trees.
