The historic, linear werf of Mount Happy includes the remains of an oak avenue, a werf wall, a stream / channel as well as the building complex. The main dwelling stylistically dates to the 1830s, but with older elements, which may not be in their original positions.

History
COULD NOT GAIN ACCESS TO THE SITE. A layered and altered site with an old core, and some <br />
original fabric, this werf is representaive of the linear type, and has considerable historical <br />
significance, as well as scenic and contexual significance. It has architectural interest. It has an <br />
association with the history of slavery at the Cape (Clift, 2010).
