Statement of Significance

Dating from the first decades of the 1800s, L'Ormarins now comprises a distinctive and large landscaped werf lined on the up-slope by older buildings, behind which are recent additions. The subject of many landscape improvements in recent years, occasioned by Johan Rupert, the site has aesthetic, historic, architectural, landscape and associational significance.
