Statement of Significance
Although there have been some alterations to this site, it remains a fine werf with unique structures
thereon - some of considerable age and with a fair amount of intact fabric. The site is a good
example of a rectangular werf type. It has historical, architectural, contextual, scenic and
landscape significance. It retains its landscape setting. It is a rare remaining example within the
Bottelary.
Landscape Significance
Oaks, pepper trees and tall palms.
