Description
"The present house... has a rectangular, two-rooms-deep ground-plan and shows no signs of having incorporated an older house. The small front-gable is dated 1850, and the house has a very low pitched (but thatch) roof. Behind are two outbuildings, forming a courtyard slightly splayed in plan (Fransen, 2004: 228).

History
Granted in 1698 to Henning Huysing, and tansferred from owner to owner in line with Meerlust's <br />
ownership until 1816, when the farms were separated and Klavervallei came under the ownership of <br />
Pieter Gerhard.

Aerial photography attests to mature trees along the edges of the werf and living the approach
avenue and formal planting in the werf space.
