History
"This erf was part of the parsonage land purchased in 1753 by the Dutch Reformed Church. In 1799 Hermanus Metzelen bought this and the erf on which no 158 Dorp St stands, both erven stretching from Dorp to Church St. Pieter Malan bought this erf in 1807 and sold it to Elizabeth Albertyn two years later. She divided it in two and sold the Dorp St half to AS van Coller in 1818. He was probably responsible for building the house. In 1846 it was transferred to FP Hauptfleisch. (Oberholster)"
