Description
Single-storey Victorian house with original stoep, bay windows, articulation, shutters, etc. Parapet over-elaborated and could be a later, pastiche addition. The building appears on the 1938 aerial photography for the area, but seemingly with a simple, double-pitched roof.

This structure is an interesting example of a Victorian house, and is characteristic of the Victorian
villas that were constructed in this part of Stellenbosch. Its garden makes a positive contribution to
Mostertsdrift, in addition to its architecture. It has architectural, some historical as well as contextual
significance, and contributes to the streetscape.
