SITE & STRUCTURE DESCRIPTION: "Double storey building with tiled roof, two covered gables facing Dorp Str, a turret on the corner and a covered gable on Stadler Str, the gables nearest to the corner having plaster decorations. Quoins at corners and dividing facade into bays. 2x2 flat-arched sashes and casements with fanlights (replacing French doors?) to upper floor, all with plastered surrounds. Ground floor has flat-arched openings, including glazed doors and shopfronts on Dorp Str and windows with arched fanlights on Stadler Str. The ground floor of the 5 bays to the right on Dorp Str preserve the pattern of openings of ... 
History: "Rev JH Neethling was born here in 1826, the same year his farther built the original house, on a portion of the farm Weidenhof. Parts of the old house are preserved in Oude Rozenhof. The 1905 building was intended to be a hotel, but was not granted."
