Description
"Single storey 6-bay barn-type building with corrugated iron roof, straight end gables and rectangular cast iron vents under eaves. 12x12 sashes; off-centre 2x2 double door with arched top panels and 3-pane fanlight. Corner pilasters. Brick stoep."
History
"""Although [the name] is not incorrect insofar as it did stand on the Parsonage erf, however, it must have been one of the flanking outbuildings of the actual parson's dwelling...Its fenestration is asymmetrical ... which has given rise to the supposition that it ... was the actual parsonage, for this is the way it is depicted in (a copy of a copy of) an early drawing."" (Fransen & Cook, p. 142) Restored by Historical Homes of SA. Converted at some stage - second half of 19th cent - from Cape Dutch (probably thatched roof) to Victorian (iron roof with raised walls)."
