History
"The land was first granted to Anthonie Fick in 1782. It became the property of the Lutheran Church in 1852. This was Carl Otto Hager's first church design, and one of the earliest uses of corrugated iron in the Cape. It was eventually abandoned by the congregation and used as a shop for a time. It was bought and restored by Historical Homes of SA in 1969 and presented to the University of Stellenbosch. (Fransen & Cook)"
